Linux install

Intallation of Redhat 9.0 completed on the robot. there were initially serious problems compiling the RTD DM6420 (Data Acquisition) and DM6816 (Pulse Width Modulation) drivers.

This was in part due to the nature of the coding (rejected completely by gcc4) and the location of standard header files in Redhat 9.

ProE Design


Wednesday -

1. Completed the embodiment design of the payload and mainframe sections. Although specifics may change, this will be the basic shape of the robot.
2. Spoke to Jonothan Wamsteker of Sonometrics, who may be able to organise a PC-based thickness transducer.
